Unmodified Taq-FORCE™ DNA polymerase is the native enzyme isolated from Thermus aquaticus YT-1 (Kaledin, A.S., et al (1980) Biokhimiia 45: 644). This highly purified polymerase has been specially processed to remove traces of DNA that can interfere with some reactions. Unmodified Taq-FORCE™ is a robust enzyme with outstanding activity that gives excellent yields. Unmodified Taq-FORCE™ is supplied at either 250 U/vial (5 U/µl) or 500 U/vial (15 U/µl).
This basic format provides the best value for high purity, high activity robust reactions. Unmodified Taq is used for primer extension and modified dNTP incorporation as well as other standard applications.
