Taq-FORCE™ Long DNA Polymerase is a high performance complex of enzymes and additives designed for applications requiring high processivity and yield necessary to span long regions.

Taq-FORCE™ Long is a mix of polymerases having 5'-3' DNA polymerase activity and 3'-5' proof-reading activity. This prevents misincorporations during primer extension. Taq-FORCE™ Long also contains an additive which eliminates the sequence-dependent removal of 3'-terminal dNMPs in growing DNA chains.

The MIGHTY-L™ Buffer supplied with Taq-FORCE™ Long has been formulated to enhance enzyme half life. A novel No-Smear Additive is also included. When this additive is used, with Taq-FORCE™ Long, specificity of difficult templates is improved by eliminating artifacts such as background smears, primer dimers and spurious bands. This is particularly important for difficult templates such as high GC-rich regions and repetitive sequences.
