Taq-FORCE™ Hot is a heat-activated form of a thermostable DNA Polymerase, which is inactive at room temperature and provides improved specificity as compared with standard DNA polymerases. It can eliminate the production of non-specific reaction products, such as primer-dimers and mismatched products.

The enzyme must be activated by heat treatment (7-10minutes at 95°C) before primer extension is possible. Subsequently, the reaction can be treated according to the user's existing protocols for thermostable DNA polymerases. Taq-FORCE™ Hot requires the use of the following reaction buffer (10X): 160mM (NH₄)SO₄, 670mM Tris HCl (pH 8.3 @25°C), 0.1% Tween-20.
